Westover ARB Fuel Hydrant

Posted in: Construction

Chicopee, Massachusetts: On this high-security government project, M. L. Schmitt was contracted to perform the electrical installation for the new fuel hydrant system that keeps sophisticated aircrafts of the United States supplied with the fuel they need to protect the area and the country. From constructing the new jet fuel pumping facility, to wiring the tank control circuits, to installing the state-of-the-art grounding/bonding systems that ensures static is properly discharged, eliminating any possibility of a catastrophic spark, this project required strict attention to detail. And since this project was on the flight line, our crew needed to keep public safety in mind at all times and work closely with all base personnel to ensure our presence was not disruptive to their normal course of operations.
